Cracking the code on ICD-10

Rescheduled from 13 January 2011

In October of 2013, the US healthcare industry will move to the mandated International Classification of Diseases, 10th edition (ICD-10). With the number of available diagnostic codes catapulting from 24,000 to more than 155,000, providers and payers need to plan now for the changes required to support a healthcare system based on outcomes rather than volume. And while 2013 may seem a long way off, with the magnitude of the tasks that lie ahead - updating technology, training staff, and coordinating with partners and suppliers - the date is already looming.

Please join us for this webcast as industry professionals from Ernst and Young LLP's Healthcare Advisory Practice and experts from 3M Health Information Systems explore the implications of ICD-10 including:

  • Current state of readiness and emerging strategies among payers and providers
  • Revenue cycle processes
  • Physician documentation habits
  • Impact on EHR/CPOE systems
  • Impact on clinical and financial systems
  • Timelines for ICD-10 implementations
