State tax edition: Domestic tax quarterly webcast series
Today's tax environment is defined by a growing list of provisions and an increasingly strict approach to enforcement at the state and local level as well as at the federal level. Policies are made, implemented and challenged from state to state. Legislative and regulatory changes give rise to new issues in tax operations. To make sure that we give appropriate and well-deserved attention to both areas, Ernst & Young LLP is rolling out our 2011 domestic tax quarterly webcast series on two tracks.
The state edition, previously called "State tax outlook," will focus on specific topics and provide a brief overview of other major tax law changes in the 50 states and District of Columbia. The following topics will be discussed on the upcoming Webcast:
- Competitiveness of state and local business taxes on new investment
- Proposed Michigan Corporate Income Tax
- An update covering major legislative, administrative and judicial developments at the state level
This is an interactive webcast and we encourage you to ask questions. You will receive an invitation to the second track of this domestic tax webcast series in the coming weeks.
