XBRL new information: deadlines, complexities, opportunities

June 2011 brings new requirements to a vast majority of SEC corporate filers through the eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) mandate. The recently released 2011 US GAAP taxonomy includes several thousand updates. The size and complexity of this updated version will affect all XBRL filers, even those who are just beginning. For those who have already filed using the previous taxonomy, these changes could affect many of their existing tag selection decisions.

Register now to join a discussion on topics including:

  • Using the 2011 Taxonomy
  • Deadlines and liability limitation expiration
  • Steps to produce high quality XBRL - controls and advisor feedback
  • Implementing XBRL Exhibit leading practices

The panel will include a variety of perspectives from:

  • Louis Matherne, Financial Accounting Standards Board, Chief of Taxonomy Development
  • Amy Deboer, Becton Dickinson, Manager, Technical Research
  • Mary Klein, Ernst & Young LLP, XBRL Services Leader

The timing of the webcast is relevant for all phase-in tiers of companies for which XBRL issues are now top of mind. During this one-hour, interactive session the panelists will address as many audience questions as time allows.
