Companies reporting under IFRS are now facing a wave of new and amended standards and interpretations that came into effect on 1 January 2009. There are also several further changes that become applicable in 2010, but may be adopted earlier. In some cases, these changes are significant and could have an impact on many areas including financial reporting, information systems and business processes.
In our June 2008 webcast, "The lessons learned for year-end reporting", we highlighted the critical areas of financial reporting that were likely to be of concern during the 2009 reporting season. In this webcast, we will focus on the implications of the changes that have become effective in 2009. We will discuss some of the practical issues arising from these new and amended standards, and any new areas of focus for the upcoming reporting season that have arisen as a result of economic developments.
This webcast is aimed at CFOs and controllers that take a proactive approach to addressing the impact of new standards and potential issues in the upcoming reporting season.
Join Lynda Tomkins, a member of Ernst & Young's Global IFRS Services team, as she discusses with a panel of experienced professionals the expected impact of the new requirements and the importance of assessing in advance the impact across the organisation.
