Credit Crunch and Renewables

Renewable Energy and Biofuels Country Attractiveness Indices Q3 2007

Hosted by: The Ernst & Young Global Utilities Center
Renewable Energy

The global credit crisis has had a major impact on the banking industry and, because most renewable infrastructure assets are project financed, there has been widespread concern that future M&A and project finance dealflow might suffer. During this webcast, Jonathan Johns, author of the Ernst & Young Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness Indices Q3 2007 which tracks and scores investment in renewable energy, will provide an insight into the effect of the recent global credit crunch on the renewables sector. As well, Jonathan will discuss how financial institutions now view lending to renewable projects, activities within the renewable energy sector, and the key movements in the indices during Q3 2007.

Q3 2007 also sees the Ernst & Young inaugural edition of the United States Renewable Energy Attractiveness Indices, a separate more detailed state-level look at the US renewable energy market. The webcast will provide commentary on the high scoring states for renewable energy and a discussion of the latest legislative activity in Congress.
