Navigating the crisis

A survey of the world's largest banks

As the financial services industry grapples with a crisis of enormous scope and impact, Ernst & Young presents findings from its second annual survey of global banks. We interviewed 48 executives at 36 major banking institutions around the world to identify key challenges organizations are facing in risk management and control.

These findings contain the seeds of promising approaches for addressing some of the global financial community’s most damaging inherent weaknesses ? specifically, vulnerabilities in risk governance that many executives believe both contributed to and intensified the current crisis.

In our upcoming webcast we will share the results of our survey and discuss steps for creating an effective enterprise-wide risk governance structure and organization.

Please join us for a discussion of the survey findings and a look at how the industry is continuing to navigate its way through the global crisis. The webcast will feature the following topics:

  • Focusing on top priorities for risk governance
  • Coping with rising costs
  • Creating a foundation for better risk decisions
  • Preparing for the unexpected
  • Improving risk reporting
  • Anticipating the regulatory impact
