Greg Vantol is a senior manager in Ernst & Young LLP's Indirect Tax practice with more than 13 years of tax experience. He currently serves as the State and Local Tax leader for the Grand Rapids office and serves as the Michigan Tax Desk. He has provided tax compliance and state and local tax assistance to a variety of large multistate and multinational clients in various industries. His primary focus is income and franchise taxes. Greg has also been involved in ASC 740 tax provision review for clients.

Daniel Domenicucci is a member of Ernst & Young LLP's State and Local Tax Services in Detroit and currently serves as the local practice leader for indirect tax services and Business Incentives and Credits Services. Dan has assisted numerous clients, including many Fortune 500 companies, on a variety of tax matters.

Most recently, Dan's focus has been advising clients with site selection analyses and securing business incentives for proposed expansion plans. He has helped clients evaluate operating costs for changing businesses, forecast tax implications of capital and headcount expansions, and negotiate discretionary incentives agreements. He also serves as liaison for Michigan-based companies to the global Ernst & Young organization's global incentives advisory network, which provides incentives services around the world.

Dan has specific experience with a variety of economic development programs, including various employment tax credits, property tax abatements and exemptions, training grants, brownfield tax credits, tax increment financing programs, cash grant programs, tax-advantaged zone strategies, and federal tax incentives for investments.

Dan received a B.B.A. with emphases on accounting and finance from the University of Michigan. He is a certified public accountant licensed in the state of Michigan. In addition, Dan is a member of The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Detroit Regional Chamber, the Detroit Regional Economic Partnership, and other civic organizations.

Chester Abell, Jr. Chester is a leader in Ernst & Young LLP's Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services group. As the Director of Tax Accrual Services, Chester is one of the firm's leading authorities on accounting for income taxes (FASB ASC topic 740, formerly FAS 109) and on the tax aspects of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 (internal controls). He works closely with Ernst & Young's assurance practice to assist the firm's clients and engagement teams in implementing today's complex tax accounting principles. Chester also assisted in authoring the firm's auditing guidance for income tax accounts. Chester is a frequent speaker on various aspects of accounting for income taxes, for both internal and external audiences.

Chester serves in an advisory capacity on a number of engagements involving income tax accounting matters, and as Senior Tax Advisory Partner for Ashland, Inc. He participates in quarterly client update calls for several of Ernst & Young's largest clients, providing awareness, education and insights on current tax accounting developments.

Chester joined the firm in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1981. In August 1985, he transferred to Lexington, Kentucky, as Tax Director of that practice. He has served in a number of roles since then. Chester's clients include some of the firm's largest public companies, for which he provides both tax provision and tax advisory services.

Chester graduated in 1975 from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Accounting and Mathematics. He is a certified public accountant licensed in the states of Kentucky, Ohio, New York, and the District of Columbia. Chester is a member of the American Institute of Certified Pubic Accountants and The Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Christopher Gunder is a Partner in the Indirect Tax/State and Local Tax practice of Ernst & Young LLP and is the firm's National Director of State Income & Franchise Tax Services. He also serves as our Indirect Tax market leader for the Detroit/Toledo Markets. Chris is based in the Detroit, MI office. He has almost 20 years of experience with the firm and currently coordinates State and local tax services for several large, multi-national automotive manufacturing, retail and consumer product and real estate clients in the Detroit/Toledo area.

Over the past fifteen years, Chris has concentrated his personal practice on broad-based transactions involving mergers and acquisitions, legal entity restructurings, bankruptcies, post merger integration, transfer pricing, income tax refund studies and strategic business processes to help companies in a variety of operational environments. He has also coordinated several co-sourcing and outsourcing relationships and is active in the firm's Tax accounting practice. He has worked with several of the firm's multi-state automotive manufacturing, distribution and retail clients to help them implement corporate structure and business change strategies.

In addition, he has significant experience with global and domestic incentives and tax credits, state tax audit defense, property tax planning, state employment tax planning, accounting methods as well as federal and state income tax return compliance. Chris previously worked in the firm's Toledo, Ohio Columbus, Ohio and Cleveland Ohio offices.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has served as a lecturer on state tax issues for seminars sponsored by Tax Executive Institute, State Societies of CPAs, local universities and various other professional organizations. He received his B.S.B.A in Accounting from Bowling Green State University.
