Jurjan Wouda Kuipers is a member of Ernst & Young LLP's Tax Services practice in New York, where he serves on the Luxembourg Tax Desk. Jurjan frequently advises US multinationals on the tax aspects of centralizing European holding, financing or licensing activities in Luxembourg, as well as on the tax implications of pan-European acquisition strategies, mergers and joint ventures.

Jurjan has over 20 years of experience in both Europe and the US. He has worked on a variety of international tax matters, including providing tax advice in connection with the structuring of mergers and acquisitions, cross-border investments and reorganizations, real estate transactions and cross-border financial instruments.

Jurjan is also the US-based representative of Ernst & Young's European Union (EU) Competency Group, a network of individuals from EY Global member firms who closely follow pan-European developments, such as the Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base proposal and the European Court of Justice cases and their impact.

Jurjan holds three master's degrees: Tax Law, Corporate Law and Individual (Private) Law). He is a frequent speaker on EU and Luxembourg tax matters, both at firm-sponsored events and events sponsored by organizations such as the Tax Executives Institute, European American Tax Institute and the International Fiscal Association. Jurjan has authored several published articles.

Dr. Thomas Neubig is Ernst & Young LLP's Director of Quantitative Economics and Statistics. Based in Washington, D.C., he advises public and private clients on Federal and state tax policy issues, including revenue and economic impact effects. He leads a group of 24 quantitative analysts who assist clients with tax and economic policy studies, economic impact analyses, statistical sampling and surveys. Tom is also the Americas Tax Policy Leader and a member of Ernst & Young's Global Tax Policy and Controversy Council.

Marjorie Rollinson is Ernst & Young LLP's International Tax Services National Director Technical Services and Washington, D.C. Margie provides international tax planning for US multinational corporations, including foreign tax credits, controlled foreign corporations, mergers and acquisitions. She has worked extensively on Subpart F issues, including the new Sec. 954(c)(6) rules, as well as contract manufacturing.

Margie has been at Ernst & Young since 1987, spending time in both national and local offices. Prior to her current role, Margie was the Director of the International Tax practice for the Mid-Atlantic Sub-Area from 1999 to 2002. In that capacity, she served as the international tax professional for the Sub-Area's largest multinational corporations.

Margie received a B.A. in History from Wellesley College and a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law. She is a member of the Maryland Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the International Fiscal Association. Margie is a frequent contributor to international publications and speaks regularly on international tax matters within the firm and outside of the firm.

Klaus von Brocke is a Partner in our Munich office. He leads our Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA) EU tax group, a network of almost 40 EU tax professionals from all EU and EEA Member States. He has a longstanding experience in litigating cases for clients before the Court of Justice of the European Union and has strong links with the European Commission Tax services. He has been with Ernst and Young since 2003, serving clients around the world on EU direct tax matters, like state aid issues, discrimination cases, code of conduct and implementation of new directives.

Gerrit Groen leads Ernst & Young LLP's Dutch Tax Desk. Gerrit focuses on the Dutch tax aspects of international corporate restructurings.

Gerrit joined Ernst & Young Global's Netherlands member firm in 1993. From 1997 to 1999, he was a member of Ernst & Young LLP's Dutch Desk in New York. After his return to the Amsterdam firm, he served as a part-time professor on the University of Amsterdam's law faculty, teaching Dutch corporation tax and international taxation to graduate students. Gerrit returned to Ernst & Young LLP in New York in the summer of 2005 to head the Dutch Tax Desk.

Gerrit received an MBA in Economic Science and a Masters in Tax Law from the University of Amsterdam. He is fluent in Dutch and English and has a good working knowledge of German and French. Gerrit is a regular contributor of articles on international taxation to various publications.
